I approach the design process with curiosity, empathy, and great care through the lens of accessibility and human-centered design. My most recent role was in public media and I have extensive experience in environmental justice.

Design has the ability to make audiences aware of what they once ignored, amplify the voices of those who aren't being heard, and change every day experiences for the better. In order to do that, as designers, we must ensure that what we create is accessible, inclusive, and usable. I'm passionate about the small details and big picture of the design process, the myriad of ways that design can influence and impact anyone from individuals to larger groups, and guarantee accessibility for all.
Descending from a long line of farmers in northern Portugal, I strive to be a good steward of the land by giving my time to environmental justice organizations. When I’m not working or volunteering, you’ll find me tending to my houseplants and quarantine-born garden, spending as much time as possible in the great outdoors, treasure hunting at antiques shops and flea markets, or enjoying the good company of family and friends.
Born and raised in New Bedford, MA. I currently live in East Boston with my husband, Matt, and our pug dachshund mix, Ruth.
