My passion for the world around me truly motivates me. Design has the ability to make audiences aware of what they once ignored, amplify the voices of those who aren't being heard, and change every day experiences for the better. In order to do that, as designers, we must ensure that what we create is accessible, inclusive, and usable. I'm interested in the design process and how inspiration, research, ideation, interaction, and insight come together to solve a problem or discover a better problem to solve.
Born and raised in New Bedford, MA. I currently live in East Boston with my husband, Matt, and our pug dachshund mix, Ruth.
Descending from a long line of farmers in northern Portugal, I strive to be a good steward of the land by giving my time to environmental organizations, being the best plant mom I can be to my many houseplants and quarantine-born garden, and spend as much time as possible in the great outdoors. I am also a big fan of reusing what already exists and can often be found perusing antiques and flea markets.
Currently a Designer at GBH.
